FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT
The Will County Department of Highways Office is providing the following information in conformance with the Freedom of Information Act 5 ILCS 140/1 et seq.
PURPOSE
The Will County Department of Highways is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of the 265 miles of county highways and bridges. In addition, the Department of Highways provides technical assistance to all 24 township highway commissioners and is the lead agency for township projects constructed or maintained with Motor Fuel Tax funding.
The staff works closely with local citizens and agencies, as well as with the Federal Highway Administration, the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois State Toll Highway Administration, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, the Regional Transportation Authority, and the Will County Council of Mayors on various local and regional transportation projects.

Administration Office is located at 16841 W. Laraway Road, Joliet, IL 60433.
Joliet Maintenance Facility is located at 16841 W. Laraway Road, Joliet, IL 60433.
Crest Hill Maintenance Facility is located at 1240 Caton Farm Road, Lockport, IL 60441.
Monee Maintenance Facility is located at 25930 S. Egyptian Trail, Monee, IL 60449.
EMPLOYEES/BUDGET
The Will County Department of Highways employs approximately 78 employees including 76 full-time employees and 2 part-time employees. The approximate cumulative budget for FY-12 is $143,600,000.

additional printed page

8 ½ x 14 One sided $.15 per print
Two sided $.26 per print
8 ½ x 17 One sided $.16 per print
Two sided $.27 per print
CD’s plus envelope: $0.25

must be commercially reproduced:
If a specific fee is set by statute, the statutory fee will be charged.
All requests under the Freedom of Information Act shall be reviewed by the designated Freedom of Information Officers. No documents will be made available until that review is completed within the time period allotted under the Freedom of Information Act.
