Highlights county’s efforts to provide safety net during pandemic crisis
At today’s meeting of the Will County Board, County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant delivered the annual State of the County address in which she highlighted the accomplishments and acknowledged the challenges during an unprecedented year amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Workforce Center of Will County, in partnership with the Village of Romeoville and Romeoville Area Chamber of Commerce, will host a job fair from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25.
As the number of positive COVID-19 cases across the nation continues to rise, Will County health officials are promoting safe, accessible vaccinations in all parts of the county.

COVID Infections on the rise amongst unvaccinated
Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant is announcing new protocols around face coverings at Will County Buildings. Starting Monday, August 2, the public, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, will be required to wear a mask or face covering upon entering any county building and during any time spent in county buildings.
Number of positive cases in the county are on the rise
While nearly half the population of Will County is fully vaccinated, local officials are cautioning residents to continue COVID-19 precautions as the number of Delta variant cases are increasing. These precautions include frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask in public places for those who are unvaccinated.
The August schedule for the Workforce Services Division of Will County Mobile Workforce Center includes stops in seven Will County communities and four special events.
