Will County officials celebrate long-awaited ribbon cutting for new Health Department building

Officials from Will County and the local health community today celebrated a ribbon cutting to dedicate the new state of the art, 73,000 square feet health department building which houses important public health programs, such as food safety inspections, outpatient mental health, better birth outcomes, and immunizations.

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant announced today that 3,687 completed applications, totaling $40,531,273 in rental assistance, have been received through the Illinois Rental Payment Program (ILRPP) to help residents and landlords who have been financially affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Workforce Center of Will County releases September Workshops schedule

The Workforce Center of Will County (WCWC) offers a wide variety of services to assist both job seekers and employers with employment needs. These services include classes on resume writing, practicing interview skills, and updating computer proficiency. The center also provides information about career scholarships and on the job training. These services are available from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday in the center’s Resource Room.

New stops added at Joliet Junior College City Center Campus and New Lenox Public Library

The Mobile Workforce Center travels throughout Will County offering a variety of services for job seekers, including computers with internet access for online applications and job searches, the ability to create/revise a competitive résumé and an online job board with listings from Will County businesses.
