A “Fresh Produce Pop-Up Event” will be hosted in Joliet from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, May 11 at Community Lifeline Ministries, 158 S. Joliet St., Joliet, IL 60436. Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant is partnering with the Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association, Meals on Wheels Foundation of Northern Illinois, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, and Community Lifeline Ministries to host the event.

Will County will hold its annual week-long textile and small home goods collection May 8-12 at the County Office Building, 302 North Chicago St. Items will be accepted in the building parking lot between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily, with extended drop-off hours from 5:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 12.

Will County Emergency Management Volunteers Receive President's Service Award

15 volunteers with the Will County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) received President’s Volunteer Service Awards from AmeriCorps and the non-profit Points of Light in recognition of the extensive time dedicated to the agency and public safety. The volunteers received their awards at the April meeting of the Will County Board on April 20, 2023.

Will County hosted a pop-up pet clinic at the County Office Building on March 11, which vaccinated and microchipped over 250 local cats and dogs. The event was hosted by Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, State’s Attorney Jim Glasgow, the K9 Enrichment Initiative, and Petco Love.
