The Will County Animal Protection Services Department is providing the following information in conformance with the Freedom of Information Act 5 ILCS 120/1 et seq.
Purpose
The Purpose of the Will County Animal Protection Services is set forth by state statute at 510 ILCS 5/ Animal Protection Services Act and the Will County Animal Protection Services Ordinance.
Will County Animal Protection Services is responsible for protecting the health and safety of the citizens of Will County by:
- Enforcing State and County Animal Protection Services and Welfare Laws and Ordinances;
- Preventing and controlling rabies through rabies registration and bite investigations;
- Protecting animals from abuse and health hazards, particularly rabies;
- Promoting responsible pet ownership
