The Will County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) hosted a hands-on training for first responders in Monee, aimed at bringing together police, fire, and dispatch agencies to coordinate effectively on various active threat incidents.

The Workforce Services Division will host a Job Fair from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on May 29th at the Lockport Township Building, 1463 Farrell Road. The event is free and open to the public.

The Will County Health Department and Will County’s Sunny Hill Tuberculosis Clinic have announced a new collaboration to expand Tuberculosis (TB) testing availability to Will County residents. The expanded testing services are now available at the Will County Health Department’s branch offices in Monee and Bolingbrook, along with the existing Joliet location at the Will County Health Department’s main office.

The Will County Resource Recovery and Energy (RRE) Division will host its annual three-day book event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 31, and Saturday-Sunday, June 1-2, at Joliet Park District’s Pilcher Park Nature Center, 2501 Highland Park Drive.

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant and ShareFest Will County will host a free food giveaway event on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 9 a.m. until noon (or while supplies last) at the Will County Office Building located at 302 N. Chicago Street, Joliet, IL 60432.

The Will County Land Use Department’s Resource Recovery and Energy Division will host a collection event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 11 in Beecher.

An expungement clinic will be held at the Will County Office Building on May 18 to assist individuals who face challenges in obtaining access to jobs, housing or education due to their record. There will be fingerprinting, attorney consultations, employment assistance, and record relief (sealing & expungement) resources at NO COST to attendees.

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant invites residents to the annual Textile and Small Home Goods Collection Event at the Will County Office Building, 302 North Chicago St., from Monday, May 6 to Friday, May 10.

Will County has launched a grant opportunity for early child care providers to improve or expand services. $225,000 has been made available for licensed providers to pursue grant funding for educational materials, developmental support services, or improvements to physical space and technology.

Will County is hosting three workshops on nonprofit management as part of a partnership between the Will County Land Use Department’s Community Development Division and the Joliet Junior College Entrepreneur & Business Center. Three sessions will be held in April and May on different topics to provide local non-profit leaders an opportunity to improve their governance and management skills.
