THE CENTRAL FAIRMONT PHASE ONE DRAINAGE PROJECT WILL BEGIN ON OCTOBER 9 AND END ON DECEMBER 1, 2017.

BE ADVISED THAT CONSTRUCTION WORK WILL OCCUR ON SCHEDULED SHOOL HOLIDAYS WITH WORK SCHEDULED TO END EARLY ON TUESDAY OCTOBER 31.

In June, Will County became the first SolSmart designated community in the State of Illinois. SolSmart is a national designation and technical assistance program that recognizes leading solar communities and empowers additional communities to expand their local solar markets.

The Will County Historic Preservation Commission meets regularly the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Applications must be submitted by May 5, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. to the Will County Community Development Division, 58 E. Clinton St., Suite 100, Joliet, IL.  Proposals may be mailed or hand delivered.

On Wednesday, December 7, 2016, the Will County Historic Preservation Commission will hold its regular December meeting at Smokey Barque, 20 Kansas St., Frankfort, IL 60423. THE WILL COUNTY HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON WEDNESDAY, November 2, 2016 AT 7:00 pm AT THE Will County Office Building LOCATED AT 302 N. CHicago Street, JOLIET, IL 60432.

     The Will County Land Use Department has announced implementation of their new cloud-based permitting system.  The new system is designed to increase efficiency and make the Land Use permitting process more user-friendly.
