Will County to offer third round of Small Business Grants to local businesses that have not received previous CARES funding

Will County officials announced it will begin accepting applications for up to at $10,000 grant from local small business owners impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic through its Small Business Grant Program. Businesses in highly impacted industries, such as restaurants, bars or taverns, events or performing arts venues, museums, and fitness centers will be given preference.

Will County Executive Bertino-Tarrant Recommends 21-District Board

Reduces number of County Board members and provides for six majority-minority districts

At a special county board meeting Tuesday, Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant presented her proposed redistricting plan for a 21-district board, which reduces the size of the Will County Board by five members.

Will County earns AA+ rating from S & P Global Ratings (Standard & Poor) and Aa1 rating from Moody’s Investor Service

In its effort to secure funding through the issuance of bonds for the proposed renewable natural gas plant, Will County presented its finances to credit ratings agencies, S & P Global Ratings and Moody’s Investor Service and the response from both was positive news for the county.

RENTAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE TO WILL COUNTY RESIDENTS MAY 17

Applicants are eligible for up to 15 months of assistance, maximum grant amount is $25,000

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant announced today that online applications for the Illinois Rental Payment Program (ILRPP) which will provide $20 million in relief to Will County landlords and tenants will be available May 17th at www.willcountyillinois.org.
