Workforce Services Division of Will County to Hold Ability Career Fair for Individuals with Disabilities

The Workforce Services Division (WSD) of Will County is partnering with the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) to host an Ability Career Fair for Individuals with Disabilities from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25 at the Romeoville Athletic & Event Center, 55 Phelps Ave, Romeoville, IL 60446. Representatives from several local businesses and resource organizations will be spotlighting open positions and resources at the event.

“We’re committed to creating opportunities for everyone in our community,” said Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant. “There are many businesses and organizations in our county searching for employees. This is an opportunity for residents to connect with them and find their next career path.”

This event is open to all individuals with disabilities, regardless of their age or education level. The goal of the event is to help dismantle barriers and pave the way for an inclusive and diverse workforce. Attendees will learn about local career opportunities that are friendly for individuals living with disabilities.

“We know there are many career opportunities for people who have disabilities out there,” said Michelle Stiff, Director of the Workforce Services Division. “The Ability Career Fair is a chance to bring all of these opportunities together under one roof, and my hope is it will unlock opportunities, shape futures and show just how willing and able every single person is in our community.”
