The Mobile Workforce Center is on the Road!!
The Mobile Workforce Center travels throughout Will County offering a variety of services for job seekers, including computers with internet access for online applications & job searches, the ability to create/revise a competitive résumé and an online job board with listings from Will County businesses. Staff will be available to assist job seekers inside these sites if the Mobile Workforce Center is off the road for maintenance.

COVID-19 Vaccine Supply in Will County does not meet needs of population
Nearly 100,000 seniors anxious to receive the vaccine, county only receiving shipments in 2,000 doses increments.
Calls to the Will County Health Department COVID-19 hotline are topping more than 800 per day, some days reaching 1,000 calls per day, which is overwhelming the current system as residents in the 1b category, 65+, are trying to schedule appointments for the vaccines.

Will County approves an agreement to create long term revenue source at the county-owned Prairie View landfill
Earlier today, Will County officials and its construction trade partners signed a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) for the $45 million renewable natural gas (RNG) plant approved for construction at the county-owned Prairie View landfill. The agreement, signed by Will County, Harbour Contractors, Will & Grundy Counties Building Trades Council and Three Rivers Construction Alliance, paves the way for hiring local, skilled craftsman to work on the multi-million dollar project.

Will County employees receive new accreditation
Two Will County Workforce Services Division employees are among the first in the nation to receive the new Certified Digital Career Strategist credential.
Lisa Borrelli and Pam Rodriguez earned the credential through Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches. The new certification focuses on using LinkedIn for job search purposes.

Will County to Create Second Grant Program for Small Businesses
Building on the success of its recently completed small business grant program, Will County has taken steps to begin creating another program designed to provide financial assistance for small businesses.
The Will County Board approved the move during a special meeting on Friday, Feb. 26.

County Announces Pair of Community Vaccination Clinics
The Will County Executive Office and Will County Health Department today announced another milestone in beating the COVID-19 virus by opening Community Vaccination Clinics in Wilmington beginning the week of March 22 and Monee beginning the week of March 29.
