Applications must be submitted by May 5, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. to the Will County Community Development Division, 58 E. Clinton St., Suite 100, Joliet, IL.  Proposals may be mailed or hand delivered.  

     With the approval of the Will County Board last week, the county has hired Dr. Kathleen Burke as Director for Substance Use Initiatives.  In this role, Burke will serve as project coordinator for the FY 17 Prescription Drug/Opioid overdose-related deaths grant that was awarded by the Illinois Department of Human Services and funded by the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA).

Pastor Jolinda Wade, the mother of Dwyane Wade of the Chicago Bulls, will visit Wilmington next week to discuss her past struggles with drug addiction during a forum focusing on the heroin epidemic that is exploding across the nation.

Area job seekers are invited to attend a weekly job fair hosted by the Workforce Services Division of Will County and the Illinois Department of Employment Security from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the Workforce Center of Will County.
