Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant Will County Executive

I am honored to serve as your Will County Executive. As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market.  I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

Please explore our website which is filled with important information about services and departments within the County Executive office as well as connections to other county officials’ websites.

Will County is diverse, vibrant, and filled with hard-working people. We have room to grow and we look forward to a great future.

Workforce Center of Will County announces Feb. 15 job fair

JOLIET – Area job seekers are invited to attend a weekly job fair hosted by the Workforce Services Division of Will County and the Illinois Department of Employment Security from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Workforce Center of Will County.

Among the positions employers will be looking to fill are certified medical assistants, drivers, forklift drivers, installation technician trainees, machine operators, medical receptionist, package handlers, warehouse material handlers and warehouse workers.

WSD Administrative Manager Susan Flessner said the events allow job seekers to meet with several employers at once.

“Additionally, job seekers only have to make one trip per week to the Workforce Center to talk with multiple  businesses about multiple jobs,” Flessner said.

The weekly events are held at the Workforce Center of Will County, 2400 Glenwood Ave., Suite 100. The day and times vary.

Will County Executive Larry Walsh, whose office oversees WSD, encourages job seekers to be prepared to take advantage of the weekly events.

“Bring your resume, dress for success and be ready for an interview,” he said.
